I can't imagine not having my dogs, but for someone starting his cruise in Tonga, I'd suggest you forgo the pooch, for now. If you want to sail to Australia or New Zealand, having a dog aboard will complicate your life immensely.

Thought that post on Pottypatch looked good. What irony . I don't know how else I'd deal with a dog on board. Go to shore often???
