I've really appreciated reading all these responses as I've been thinking about the same thing. Our daughter is five months old and we are waiting to move out to a mooring. She's not mobile now, but she will be soon and it's the stage where she can walk and crawl but has no idea what is going on that freaks me out. I think I'll either try a side sling or a seat to set her in (not strapped in). Either way she will have a life jacket. I wear her in an Ergo constantly but I don't think I could get her out of it as quickly as I could a Moby wrap. I know I'll work it out, but it has been on my mind.
