If you push, drag or throw a cat in the water, it will remember ...

I always got my cats comfortable with the water the hard way(I took them in), even though it resulted in scratches, which can easily be minimized if you don't try to tear the cat off your neck or shoulder.

I had one cat(kitten), that I couldn't keep out of the water. In fact, one day some girls called to Gato(the cat), from across the marina and Gato sat on the stern, looked at the girls, then jumped in and swamp over to the girls, well over 100 feet.

Now . . . Gato knew how to take the dock to the parking lot and down the other pathway to where the girls were, but he evidently just didn't want to wait.

Otherwise, I have a water hose here and I will not hesitate to use it!
