Boat kids near SF?

Hey all,

We are in half moon bay slowly on our way to MX. We will leave in a little over a week. Anyone near by with boat kids who would like to get together? We have 11 and 15 year old kids.

Thanks

Send an email to this group (Home - Coastside Mothers' Club) and ask them to send a message to their members about your request. It's a great bunch of parents and their kids along the Coastside, many of whom are in the vicinity of Pillar Point Harbor.

If you swing by Channel Islands harbor down south of you, send me a PM note! I have an 11 year-old and a 5 year-old. We might be able to meet you out at the islands or if you happen to stop in here they might have fun with the kayak and boogie boards at the beach nearby, and there is a good pizza place here in the harbor too! Can you watch for any sea otters as you come around Point Conception along the coast there from the point to Santa Barbara? My daughter and I have done a little searching for them, still no luck. It will be a big deal when they finally re-establish themselves down here. Also there is a group on here for cruising kids:

Cool, thanks to both of you. Don, we will keep our eyes peeled for the otters. How long will you be in the islands?

Well we could pop out there (from Channel Islands harbor) on a weekend probably. Not sure how you are planning coming around the point, some folks go way out and go straight to the islands to stay. Some come around to Santa Barbara. If you do that it is really nice to poke along the coast there and there may be an otter or two there (I hope.)

BTW you might enjoy this little travel log of a boat just like mine, though not mine darn it!, going from SF to Mexico and back. It's not mine, the creator let me post it at the plastic classics social group:

Saving Grace? Probably not what you meant to post?!

We do plan on San Simeon. Not sure beyond that exactly. We are in Monterey currently, and have seen several sea otters at the municipal marina. Super cute, though my dog was a little agitated!
