Will we find kid boats along that route?

Sounds like a very extensive cruise. Will you be staying around PNG and SE Asia? Circumnavigating? Kids age 5 & 8 are young. That's a long time out at sea with mom and dad (or, you and partner?). Also, it's a very big ocean, and not so many
children cruising around with elders. Many days at sea, with nobody around sometimes. If your concern is the
children not going "bonkers", which would be my concern, then maybe
Thailand is a good
destination, merely due to the tourism
trade ... and maybe ... more kids on boats. Even if young children 'jump at joy' thinking of 3 years at sea, there will be many boring days, and your 5 year old is too young to be doing solo-scuba speargun
fishing off the stern while the elders read
books. What will they be doing, all day, all night, all day, all night, all day, all night .....
All
food for thought. Good luck.
