Hi Cathy.
Be patient, there are a lot of members here, most just read and dont contribute, but you might just get some private replies. Not everyone logs in everyday, so hang in there.

There is one woman sailor I can think of in the Bay Area. She and "Himself" have a boat in the South Bay. Hopefully she will write you soon. Keep the faith!

Hi there - we have really enjoyed Nice and spent several weeks in 2008 and 20009 cruising the French Riviera. Great anchorages and food. We saw a sperm whale off Cavalaire!

The marina in Rome is at Ostia, called the Porto Turistico di Roma and is a good wintering place. We also really liked Elba, and plan to anchor off Portoferraio in April while the weather settles. After that Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and Malta!

Donc, donnez-nous un email quand vous etes dans la Med et peutetre nous pouvons recontre!

Fair winds in the US

well if you ever around Cannes , my twin sister is there with her little boat "Wapiti" .anchor just oposite the palm Beach.

i should be in Nice probably in Fevruary ,on myway to the State to look at that contessa 34 .

I am glad you having a great time in the Med

hey from San Francisco, we live in the city and berth in oyster cove, but Richmond isn't far. That Contessa looks sweet, beamy and beautiful... aged in a good way and shipshape, as if she has always been taken care of! Not so sure about the name however ; -).... sort of... dogged, ya know?

You must let us know when you will be here, for how long, how we can help!

For what it's worth, my wife is a member of a Women's Sailing Associatation that she enjoys very much. Take a look at Women Aboard - THE Network for Women in Boating. She feels that many of the forums dominated by men cannot serve the needs and interests of women particularly well. The Seven Seas Cruising Association is also about equally split between men and women members but it seems the men dominate the forum there as well.
