Re: A Woman's Needs

It's really nice to hear a little more knowledgeable voice about what women want. For awhile this thread was mired in 1962.

From one woman to another, thank you erinsavov!

Re: A Woman's Needs

What I have found most frustrating with this thread is that amongst all the noise are sensible statements from actual women who have said things like "Well, actually I need this, this and that" only to have a male say, "No you're wrong, women need that, these and the other."

We are happy to listen, just need a little more notice so we can switch gears from whatever we were currently doing.

As far as the bioat goes, I've asked this question a couple of different ways here over the years. For the most part everyone wants the same things not counting the extremes.

Re: A Woman's Needs

You guys are really funny. There's no earthly reason why women need more electricity, food, toilet paper, heat or water than men.

Cruising is not about hair-curlers, washing machines and hairdryers, it's about far-flung places, self sufficiency and tenacity.

It's because like in most things people confuse "needs" and "wants".

I'm a big fan of 'tough love'. Works for dogs and children...

I do have to agree that we females will use more toilet paper unless the Everyone Sits for Everything rule has been applied.

I'm happy that a lot of people are getting use out of this particular topic and have found my contribution useful.

Happy Sailing!

Not cruising with anyone at the moment. But all I have done was with my wife.

We are not a different species! We eat, sleep, and the other just like men.

Having said that, you can always tell when a woman is aboard, everything is a bit more civilized.

You can tell when mine is aboard just like as you can tell when she has been around the house, because it is more cluttered!

Messy guys and neat gals is not a given.

Don't really know about civilized, but am willing to go along with it.
