What hole in the forward head was big enough for a weasel???????

I want to plug that on my boat.

Yesterday after coming back to the dock, we found lots of muddy little footprints on and around the forward head. My wife put some cat food out for before we left, just in case it got hungry, but I couldn't tell if it had eaten any. At any rate, right now he has a well stocked larder inside a live trap. I'm hopeful that will solve it. He's had enough food to not starve and at least yesterday afternoon, there was evidence that he's still alive

I have Ecovac heads and the hole he went down is where the waterline comes up to feed water into the bowl. It's only about an inch and a half in diameter and the waterline takes up 1/3 of the space

Three days with the live trap not effective. I borrowed a borescope from a friend last night. If he's dead (no smell yet) hopefully I can drag him out with the attached hook. If not perhaps I can get a glimpse of his beady little eyes and come up with another plan

Is there a possibility that the weasel had escaped? Vanished into the night, not to come back? ))

Re: A weasel onboard.

Close all the ports & leave only a small opening at the companionway hatch. Smoke a bunch of pot & blow the smoke into the hole in the head. Then leave the boat with only a bag of potato chips in the cockpit...

I love the idea but if I did that there'd be no potato chips left [emoji41]. The poor little bugger would stave to death. However I'd likely be a lot more relaxed about the whole thing

Re: A weasel onboard.

If it's still there it will come out, then the cat can get chance to redeem itself!

Re: A weasel onboard.

JD, I hope you can get rid of it soon. It only seems funny to someone whose home isn't about to be turned into a horrible smelling place. Good luck, man.

Re: A weasel onboard.

If it was still there I think you would smell its urine which is quite strong , I think it has fled mate , tho the cat might have made a fuss if it was on the move
