Whether boarding school, any boarding school, is the right answer for any particular child is a whole other discussion and there should probably be some professional input on the situation.

In most urban venues there are "magnet" schools and other accelerated programs, which take the boarding issues out of the equation.

I sent my oldest to a boarding school after he became too much to handle, it worked out well for him. Sometimes a teenager can become too focused on independance and confuses the rules of moral behavior with age dependant restrictions. Turning over part of parenting to a third party, (boarding school), allows them to see the difference, and experience first hand the consequenses of their behavior, and to achieve the independance they crave.

The youngest is on track to get his diploma before his drivers license.
