Toast

Are you making toast?
How are you doing it?
I can't see the inefficiency of the solar/battery/inverter being worth the loss for convenient toast but maybe I'm wrong. Electric toasters are rather large as well.

We made toast in a dry skillet. Heat it up and put the bread in. Put the cover on. Flip it over when toasted on the first side. It works.

A number of companies make "Camp Toasters" that work on gas burner or other stove top. Most sell for less than $10 US. Just google camp toasters.

We heavily butter both sides of a slice of bread and chuck it in a hot frying pan.

When its toasted to perfection we slather on more butter and gobble!

We have one of the camping toast racks, place over gas burner, add 4 slices bread, flip over when one side done, pretty neat and cheap

Our Force 10 stove has a broiler so we use that which toasts one side nicely and we are usually to lazy to flip them.

One of those BBQ/fire starter thingies - the click-trigger-and-flame-comes-out-the-end ones, and a pair of tongs?
