Don't forget you have to fill the water reservoir water each day. Toting it is a pain and you'll lose some or all of it. Even if you carefully capture the melted ice, and it looks clean, you won't want to use this water for anything but perhaps washing up. This is a consideration when you don't have a bountiful water supply.
