Zeehag, that's the one that can pass as half-n-half, there IS also "regular" Nido that is something like 4% milkfat, the same as regular milk.
I never touch the stuff (milk) except for baking or diluting a cup of bad coffee. But then again, there are millions of people who rush out to buy milk and bread before storms, apparently they'll die if they can't get it for 48 hours.

lol--i loove cream in my coffee----lol but when i am out i will use th enido heavy fat gooody--is good---but i wont drink it plain--not even for medicine--lol still has the powdered flavor--isnt somethng one ever gets used to if one has sensitive taste buds lol....have yet to find the 4 percent milkfat one--i only have found the 26 percent--at walmart and publix. they donot carry it in costco.

branching out a bit here in the dairy section. Costco here carries chocolate Horizon organic low fat 2% single serve UTH that makes, with the addition of a bit of additional cocoa powder (no extra sugar), an excellent cuppa cocoa...

which is as much a necessity for me as coffee is for many of you ; -)

bellagio sipping chocolate(costco) and nido milk and raw sugar. add hot water--yummmmm
cocoa.

for those who require a lil something in theirs--the stuff holds up to schnapps and other alcoholic dilutants very well...LOL....

If you can't find it under the Nido brand name, look for "Klim" in a red and yellow can, same sizes. Most stores that carry one brand carry both, apparently each one is "comfort food just like home" for a different part of the Americas.

nido is everywhere hispanics feed their babies-i find it in the infant section in some stores--in st thomas is in publix at the door between the main part of store and the meats and veggies part...
i have sought a suitable altenative to going without for a long time--i have never ever seen klim--i dont know what part of country that is in--it aint in socal, gulf coast or any where i have been in the last 10 yrs...but nido is common for hispanic families. i would love to know where the other stuff is--i would like to find some--i like alternatives--but in my searching i havent found it yet.

When I called Nestle to ask if they just made powdered whole milf for the US market, the rep said no. They make the same product line under two different names (Klim and Nido) and one is marketed to "central america" while the other is marketed to "south america". I forget which is which--but that's Nestle's official position. It isn't marketed to Hispanics per se at all, but to Central and South America.
And whatever gets shipped north of the Rio Grande or into the Caribbean? Is black market milk! Or gray market, if you prefer. Welcome to America, another third world market not worth serving. This goes back maybe 4-5 years, but at that time it was not being sold by Nestle to any North American authorized distributors.
The funny thing is, I know more Anglos who really want to buy powdered whole milk--but aren't looking for it in the "ethnic foods" aisle, without English on the label. You'd think Nestle would have caught onto that with all their marketing expertise.

nestle's makes nido milk-- is powdered whole milk. it works.

Nido and Klim (spell that backwards) are the exact same product, one distributed to the Central American market, the other to the South American market. Both re-imported gray market into the US. Do beware, there's also a high milk-fat version.

Nutella: Palm Oil is extremely bad for your arteries. Possibly one of the worst foods you ccan eat. Take real nut butter and add cocoa if you like, you can get almost any kind of nut butter without the added palm oils.
