Damn it! I had visions of trying one with coffee and tea, and whatnot, just to experience how weird that would taste.

The Soda Stream instructions specifically mention that you should only fizz clean cold water. I assume this is because the fizzer can become fouled/dirty and I don't see a way to remove it for cleaning. In fact, there are no cleaning instructions either.

The colder the water the more co2 the water absorbs, so if we finish a bottle before dinner we put cold water in the bottle and stick it in the fridge overnight.

I thought I posted on this thread, but apparently it didn't go through.


You can purchase the Coke syrup at Sams Club in the US for just under $70. We have 5 gallons of the stuff on our boat with a 5lb CO2 tank and regulator.
