Shopping the French Isands

Ah, the French Markets are the best! It is like Christmas everytime I walk the isles. Such wonderful options....

What are some of your favorite items to buy on the french islands?

A nice baguette, some foie gras, some cheese and a good bottle of wine. Best meal ever!!

There is more choice of cheese, wine, bread on the French mainland and it is cheaper . Come and enjoy!

Marie Galante anejo rhum! Guadeloupe rhum, Martinique rhum and Cuban rhums are all good but Bellevue 20 year old rhum is just exquisite and not available anywhere but the French islands.

I know that I was near Metz in July 2009 and will go back next May. I just can't wait!! I would like to go back to the Cepage Montmartrois on Coulaincourt in Montmatre also, the food was exquisite

Then again, I live on the South Shore of Montreal and I love any kind of French cuisine But it is so expensive here. A 100gr of foie gras is about 20CAD And let's not talk about the price of cheese. Just to give you an idea, it is less expensive in St-Martin

Alain... I am jealous Especially when I think about my daughter who is going in France for 4 months in just 3 weeks

Well, I'll go drown my sorrows in a fancy hamburger
