pirate Recipe Exchange

Hello there

Does anyone have recipes to exchange on this site, for I have looked and looked and can find nothing, despite the topic of food being paramount in every anchorage I have ever visited??

Pot-luck parties abound and the most amazing International food appears, so does anyone have recipes that are so mouth-wateringly good that to not share them would be a crime most hideous!!!

Thank you

Well Weyalen "Curry recipe thread" is so impressively varied and indepth that I shall restrain myself from adding another curry to list. However, I believe the theme of the thread is warranted and worthy of development. If I can remember my chicken and tuna a la Alan and my beuf medici and fruit crumble recipes I shall post them for your delectation.

Regards

Alan

Alan, please feel free to register on the SlackersHaven site and add recipes as you feel appropriate, or PM me with your recipe and I'll add it in, if you prefer.

Roasted Italian Sausage w/tomatoes and white beans

Here's a one pot meal I recently got from a friend and have made several times that is quite tasty and easy.

Roasted Italian Sausage w/tomatoes and white beans

2.5# Sweet Italian sausage
3 pts. cherry tomatoes
1 lg. Onion cut into 1.5" chunks
4 cloves of garlic sliced
3 Tbs. olive oil x-virgin
1.5 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
2 tsps. dried thyme
2 bay leafs
3 16 oz. cans white beans (cannellini) drained w/ 1/2 cup of liquid retained

Oven rack low, 5 min. before, turn oven on 425'.

Mix everything but beans and liquid in a roasting pan and roast until sausage is browned and tomatoes reduced to a thick sause. Remove from oven - mix in beans and liquid and continue cooking till heated through - 10 min.?

Serves 5-8

enjoy!
