Propane tank re-fill near Miami Beach

Does anyone know of a place to get a propane tank re-filled in Miami Beach?

There is a Blue Rhino propane exchange at the Walgreens near the Miami Beach anchorages and Sunset Harbor Marina. We have a field for "Propane" in the ActiveCaptain marina markers to provide info about obtaining propane.

Thanks, but I need to have my own tanks re-filled. Exchange won't work for me since I have 6 lb aluminum tanks.

I don't think you'll find a refill station right in Miami Beach; but
Let me google that for you

It seems it is always really a trek.

Personally I like MsActiveCaptain's solution.

PS: is that marina on the google return? Way back in page 36 or something? Like the other "small" players?

you like the idea of exchanging an aluminum tank for a steel tank?

The blue rhino solution is becoming more prevalent and real filling stations are getting harder to find. I really don't want to give away my expensive 20 lb aluminum tanks in exchange for cheap steel tanks but this may become inevitable.

Many cruisers using cheap steel tanks??

Re: Propane tank re-fill near Miami Beach

I found a refill station in Miami (Sungas) on NW 24th St. It's about 6-7 miles from Collins Canal. I was hoping there was something here in Miami Beach, but I don't think there is such a place.

Since it's only a 6 pound tank, I guess I'll shove it in my backpack and ride my bike over there.

I have the composite tanks. 2 X 20lbs I need to get them refilled. I also know that the exchange tanks are only ~2/3 full. They claim safety. I claim BS.

I am not one of those smart enough to create a profitable business.

But you're smart enough to recognize one when you see it.
