Here is skinny on the restaurant scene.
Outriggers under the Hwy 146 has great seafood (casual, old school Seabrook, across from Kemah) (love shrimp tacos- frequent) on the
water, can bring the boat or
dinghy (but be careful of the current-speak from experience) to the restaurant, bloody marys are a meal (w/ shrimp)
Alan's Swampshack (good, cajun style) near the
water,
Skippers (greek food, great breakfast, one of our favorite waitress is there, be early for breakfast), have not tried the Brickhouse yet.
Joe Lee's (South Shore Beer Garden is gone, but they serve their burgers, good)
Sundance II is at Waterford (Hans is the owner, and does fabulous german dishes too, drinks are good too)
Boondoogles is one of our favorites (take the
dinghy across Clear Lake north side- low clearance bridge, brick oven pizza, great beer)
Turtle Club (casual bar) floating on the north side near Classic Cafe, can tie your boat there with power,
Farther away but on the bay: Noah's in Bacliff is old biker bar-casual, outdoor patio, good breakfast buffet, bitchy waitress sometimes,
Topwater Grill in San Leon (great seafood, outdoor tables are available)
Fancy: Opus (on the southside Clear Lake canals, can get there by dinghy)
