Insulated individual food containers...

I have seen several boats who (I believe) have maybe Igloo individual insulated round all-plastic food containers for their crew in videos. They eat right out of the container, maybe eight or nine inches high. They have a top for them also. Can't find anything online. Anyone use these...light and insulated - perfect. The containers are featured in this vid at 3 min to 3.2 min in the backgroud - blue with tops, with one of the crew eating out of same container.... Thx, and aloha from Hawaii, Mike

Walmart. Look by the Thermos bottles and insulated drinking cups. I've seen a couple, available in stainless or plastic or combinations, with and without a big handle like a beer stein. You can fill them with chili or soup and eat out of them, or use them to carry cold water for a dog, or just pour in your Slushie and keep it cold.

Anyplace that sells thermal bottle and cups in the kitchenware section should have them.

HS, I went to Walmart, but they had only small insulated jars. I'll keep looking, though.

I don't think Walmart is in France, and those guys would eschew it in any case, I'm sure.

Re: Insulated individual food containers...

I've seen the "bottles" up to pint sized, or perhaps that was "half liter". <G>

WalMart in France? Good lord, one hopes not. But then again, I understand that thermos bottles are illegal in Paris, it is only the uncivilized boors who live outside the municipal limits that think food can be kept hot or cold instead of being properly prepared on the spot and consumed in the timely manner.

(Only half tongue in cheek, because "Paris" just ain't "France" and they're each quite upset about the other. I prefer France.)
