This is my first post on this forum (Hi!) and my question might be silly... but as my wife and I contemplate cruising the US east coast, one question stands out for us: how do you folks buy groceries? Are there grocery shops close enough to shore/marinas that you can just walk over? I appreciate any advice or anecdote on the subject! |

US East Coast covers a lot of territory. From Toronto to Miami we have never had problems regarding groceries. You soon learn where to find the three essentials of cruising - groceries, liquor store and laundromat. Some spots are better than others and you will soon learn from fellow cruisers. If you have any specific locations in mind we might be able to help.

A number of marinas will have courtesy cars and many groceries will deliver if you ask.
