Gimballed microwave

I have a westsail 32 and want to add a small microwave to the galley. I use the propane stove but not the oven underneath. I would like to have a gimballed stove attached to the top of a small microwave. Has anyone seen such a solution? I have not found one on the marine supply websites. I see electric stove/oven combos and propane combos but no microwaves. There may be a really good reason they don't make one.

Re: Gimballed microwave

Probably not much call for them. Most cruisers I know that have a microwave only use it at the dock. When sailing you'd have to have a generator, I think even with a genset most use a regular oven when underway.
You could always get a gimbling framework made for you, and attach the stove/micro to/in it.
Like you I've never seen a combination stove and microwave.

Re: Gimballed microwave

It is possible to find 600 watt microwaves that are true 12VDC online and in some larger truck stops. Considering the stock AC microwave on my boat is only 700 watts, it would be a reasonable option.

It even has a bottom hinged lid for better safety on a heel.

It wouldn't be hard to make up a gimble mount. If you can't picture a design, can describe how I'd do it when I can get to a better keyboard than this damn phone has.
