Gas Refills In Gibraltar

I have searched the forum and can find a few threads telling what a pain in the neck it is to get refills for different propane bottles in Europe (especially if you have UK bottles) but what I haven't found is any info on what Gibraltar does.

We are currently in NW Spain, but are headed for Gibraltar (leaving tomorrow) and may make one stop in Portugal but don't intend to be in Europe for much longer. Does anyone know if it is possible to get refills of UK propane bottles in Gibraltar, and if so where? I'm reluctant to get a Spanish bottle for the sake of a week or so passage but the problem is we are on our last spare gas bottle now - which is campinggaz. We certainly don't have the room to carry many tanks on our 28ft gaffer, so being minimalist is key. I might consider another small campinggaz bottle though if we really have to and I know I can refill our main bottles in Gib.

Alternatively, does anyone know a supplier in La Coruna that can sell us the right type of hose to rig up our own refill device from a local bottle (we have a set of International connectors)?

Camping gaz is the only way , which is butane by the way.

We were told by Marina Bay this mid October that there is no propane in Gibralter and that we would have to go to Spain to procure any.

Go camping gas for Butane... in Portugal you can often get your UK bottles filled at roadside garages... propane cars are quite a common sight here.
Gib's a waste of space...

Thanks all - looks like I might see if I can refill the main tanks in Portugal, keep them and live on the small camping gaz ones so we have the big ones for the Atlantic.

In case anyone is trying to do the same thing - we successfully managed to get our UK propane tanks filled here in Portugal - Figueira da Foz, at a place about 10 minute walk from the marina. Super helpful staff where nothing seemed a problem. Now at least we have the large bottle filled for the Atlantic crossing. Phew.
