We found the Oxo weren't truely air-tight whereas the L&L are.

I use Snapware for my sugar, flour, coffee, cereal, etc. and have been very pleased.

Got to agree with lock n lock. Buy the big set at Costco and it is s fraction of buying them individually

Okay, so I've been using the Rubbermaid and the OXO containers now for a couple months. The Rubbermaid has DRAMATICALLY reduced the use of ZipLock baggies, so much that I've now bought extra packages of them. Ditto the OXO. They may not be hermetically sealed, but they are so easy to use, so effective for my uses, and so ideal for storage container size modules, that I have also purchased extra ones for home and boat. I opened another case of the Rubbermaids this evening to make room for some leftover beef stew, and the realization of how intuitive and easy to use these containers are struck me with the idea of getting even more.

Another vote for Lock & Lock. Well used beet root container on it's side in the fridge. Not a drop of that crimson "dye" escaped.
