Re: Favorite Cocktail

Ours is an "Overcast"
Polar Orange Dry over ice with Goslings liberally but carefully poured so as to create a dark fog layer on top.
Potent and pretty.

For a cool shot I like a Storm Cloud

"Pour in the amaretto about 2 thirds full in the shot glass.... then put a small splash of 151 on top, but leave room for the bailey's.. then pour the bailey's in nice and slow so it swirls up in the middle of the shot..... and it looks.... just like a storm could.... but don't worry.. that 151 will keep you nice and warm! "

One of my favs is called a "sicilian kiss". One shot amaretto combined with one shot southern comfort, neet.

Simple but ohhhh so smooth, and dangerous.

You have been warned!

Re: Favorite Cocktail

I was big on the Mount Gay and Coke when in the Caribbean. This year we went to Menorca and got introduced to the Pomada. 2 parts gin, 1 part tonic, one part lemon juice or lemonade. I'm drinking my third one right now. Love em.

Re: Favorite Cocktail

When you don't have refrigeration or ice it's hard to beat rum and water with a twist of lemon or lime. With ice, I second the motion on the gin martini with two olives (one if jumbo)

Re: Favorite Cocktail

Ti-Punch !

The classic French Islands drink.I like it because it is simple and uses local ingredients:

3/4 oz of fresh squeeze lime juice
1 tea sp raw island sugar
1-1/2 oz rum agricole (or dark rum)

Sip it slowly...

Almost exactly what we drink. We take a half lime, smash it up in the glass, add a little raw sugar, ice and rum. In South America it is called a capraina
