Re: Favorite Cocktail

Here's a favourite of mine but NOT for the boat.

Prepare in a tall glass.

2 shots rum
juice of a freshly squeezed lime
2 shots of sugar syrup
1 shot of mineral water or plain soda.

Stir this then float a favourite beer on top. Must be ice cold.

Before drinking stir the whole mix with a straw to blend the beer with the rum mix.

It is delicious, refreshing and easy to drink but you will be legless after 3 or 4 (I am not kidding)

It is a Mexican drink and they call it Bull. Nothing to do with Red Bull or any other energy drink.

Oh, how I miss the Mexican shrimp cocktails! They are the best. I am back in the States and make them but it's not like being able to go down to get one!!

Or steamed clams. We ate those daily for a while last year there.

Re: Favorite Cocktail

Ice cold beer, specifically a Ballast Point Sculpin brewed here in America's Finest City (San Diego).

Go to drink is Jameson and diet coke, I'll have some tequila straight every few days for sippin'.

Ok we just tied up and had two martini's. So good! We are just 1 mile from where the first martini was invented. Martinez, Ca.

Re: Favorite Cocktail

Hole in One:

One lime chopped into 8 pieces, handful of fresh mint, small cut up knob of ginger. THOROUGHLY muddle these three ingredients in the bottom of a glass. Dump muddled crud into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add two parts Bicardi Limon rum, one part St. Germaine Liquor, and one part pineapple juice. Shake vigorously for twenty seconds and serve straight up in a frosted martini glass. Garnish with slice of lime.

Re: Favorite Cocktail

Good rum & coconut water. Simple, natural, and 100% tropical ingredients.

FYI: You know the old song..."put the lime in the coconut...." -- don't do that, it is a horrible combination.
