Re: Favorite cocktail

I prefer a nice Dark and Stormy, but I may need to switch to atoll's internationally famous rum punch.

Is there any trick to the deep fried salted coconut chips? They certainly sound straight forward...

Re: Favorite cocktail

A glass of good Bordeaux. If it has to be a cocktail, I'll take a strawberry margarita.

Re: Favorite cocktail

1. Bombay Sapphire martini with 2 very good olives and a sniff of vermouth (Our dinghy is named "Bombay")
2. Margarita -- 2 parts fresh lime juice, 2 parts triple sec, 3 parts a decent tequila (but don't waste the really good stuff)
3. In the Carib -- Painkillers

Re: Favorite cocktail

Bourbon and Coke on ice.
Squeeze in 1 wedge of fresh lemon or lime and place in the drink.

Re: Favorite cocktail

Tom Collins, Gilbey's gin, Canada Dry Collins mix, fresh lime (we're sailors but don't care for scurvy), maraschino cherry and lots of ice. Funny thing about this drink, first introduced to it at 18 by my girlfriend's parents and 40 years later is still the only highball I like. Thank you Carol Holzman. OK, search bots, do your thing on that name, would like to see how Carol Holzman is doing.

Gin martini, a crisp white wine or Cabernet if it is cool in the bay.
We were working on the boat last weekend and I was wishing I was at margaritaville having their best margarita.

Re: Favorite cocktail

G&T

or a margarita on the rocks - only trouble with the margaritas is 1 leads to two leads to three leads to four leads to five leads to hitting the sack by 8:00 o'clock

Oh well - as Dean Martin said "you're not drunk if you can lie on the floor with having to hold on"

or as my father used to say - "you're not drunk until you have to chase the bed around the room"
