The last time (2 yrs ago) we chartered in BVI I brought frozen meat and they assessed a duty which offset the savings of bringing it along. We landed in Tortola on that occasion. This time we're landing in St Thomas and taking a ferry to Tortola, Do you think I'll incur a duty in this case? (where will they impose it??)
Anyone know how much it is these days?
there are several threads on this topic on the BVI forum on Traveltalk) and I seem to read that when taking the ferry across there probably won't be any duty levied. But there are lots of folks there who bring meat and take the ferry and you would get timely information there on this particular topic.
