I saw a documentary on Zombies.
"28 weeks later"
So, all this talk about Zombies slow walking, standing around staring at walls(I do a lot of that) , probably bs.
they were fast.
You had to run - fast - to escape.
But then it was sponsored by Adidas - so who ya gonna believe?

Well they speak of green zones around the world already up and running you just knead millions to join. They also discuss the very real issues of environmental refugees which are to be the biggest cause of population movements around the world to come. The question is living in dynamic world as ours where would you run too ( sail too) if everything you knew was to be turned upside down ?

Anywhere "You" escape to that already has people means you become a resource for them, whether for the stuff you bring with you......or as Long Pork .

Since the dawn of time. populations have always migrated due to climate (and over) changes. Sometimes that involves people physically moving, but more often it comes simply from populations rising in some areas and declining in others over a longer timescale.

I agree on both paragraphs you stated, Somali pirate. The final sentence I wrote was what would you do ?. I am a little conscious of where this world is heading, I think all of us cruiser do, the fracturing of capitalism, the decay of our American/ Australian dream, debt slavery, overpopulation, supply chain breakdowns, enviromental- flooding, droughts, biological & disease outbreaks, rampant consumerism, rogue nuclear states, conservative liberal politics, Britney spears,I could go on and on but you would all probally do a heminway. Anyway I got a few green zones, if I see ya on my way I am open for trade lol.

this weather stuff has been going on long before the industrial age and global warming, global cooling , ah, I mean climate change (can't go wrong with that one!)
El nino was coined by the conquistador's - perhaps they learn't it from the locals? but certainly in the 1500's they experienced it in the Humbolt current.
A great book is "king's in Grass Castles" about the early cattle stations in the Kimberley's - drought's and flooding plains and all that. These events (Mississippi floods, tornados) have always occurred - just more McMansions built in the way now...
Environmental stuff can happen anywhere anytime - just got to be lucky - but the financial stuff is very real and present danger.
So real (IMO) I was not going to haul my boat in November (stuck on the hard). but I did and luckily nothing has happened, and we splash tomorrow - so bring on the Zombies...
I would head for Iceland except there maybe a problem with ice.
Otherwise I head for Australia.

Modern zombies don't run around frantically anymore.
They call ahead, or text.
You can see them in a city in the world, they are easy to identify.
The males wear grey suits with red ties, and have a phone up to their ear, or are looking down while trying to co-ordinate both thumbs on a small keyboard.
The females custume is such that no two look alike, but use the same communication methods.
