Yes, perhaps you should have. A quick and cursory search on either "Cost of" or "Budget" returned 40 threads with over 450 posts ... not including your new thread.

You shouldn't have any problem finding a number of different "answers".

Oh ... and I moved your question to a more appropriate Forum.

Thanks

could we merge the threads of put them in a catagory of their own?

I do find it all quite interesting, and the changes over the period of years.

I'll forward that up the line and see if they want to create a separate forum and then round up all the different ones (many more variations that the two I posted) and put them into one place.

Thanks for the suggestion Mark.

40 threads over X years doesn't warrant its own forum does it? If that's the case we'd need a forum just for dinks. And another just for "length of anchor rode" - LOL

Hi Dan,

I agree with you, but it is a pretty important subject area and remember that just because theres relatively few threads its still a huge information resource that every single person who goes cruising is interested in

I look at the combined wealth of the information given accross cruisersforum.com and I count a multiple of Eric Hiscock's books, a plethora of Cornells and the full gauntlet of Pardy's

Part of the value of the information is its accesability

As long as we can keep all the firearm threads to a minimum, I'm more than happy to keep talking about anchors and cruising budgets.

$1000/month for us. $500 for food, about $500 for everything else. Less if you spend a bunch before you go on maintenance (have the engine rebuilt / tuned up, repaint, etc), and less if you don't have a payment and can get cheaper insurance.
