Wreck of the Sundancer

Many living in the PNW, may remember in the 80’s a new cruise ship Company using Baltic Ro/Ro ships with Swedish Deck crew starting cruises from Vancouver to Alaska.

They hit a Rock in Seymour Narrows and sank bur managed to save everyone.
This memoir is a very telling inside story of how a great little Seattle company, sprung from Princess Cruise Lines, responded.
Wreck of the Sundancer

My young Sister and girlfriend were on board working as assistant Pursers that night when I received their call and are rightfully proud of their performance.

With the shameful events of the Costa Concordia Captain in the news, this shows how well a properly led crew should respond.
