Re: Trip Report: Fraser River Outflow

NWS

We've got a few things to take care of on the boat and then some holiday stuff. It'll be a few weeks before we get back to Sequim Bay.

Next time we see you we'll swing in and see if you are aboard. It would be interesting to chat. I'm a weather and current geek but don't find many people interested in that sort of thing.

Re: Trip Report: Fraser River Outflow

Having just returned from a summer to and from AK, WX, tides and currents sure get my attention. I just bought a Iridium Go! So I can get hopefully WX when standard means don't cut it. I plan to use PredictWind to help interpret the grIb files in helpful departure and route planning information. Unfortunately it won't help much with tides and current which are often in conflict with published tables. I love the channels where you ride a flood in and ebb out.

Look forward to getting back aboard in January, Seattle Boat show and meeting up with you somewhere in between.

Enjoy the holidays

Re: Trip Report: Fraser River Outflow

I learned to sail and lived aboard my first boat in the John Wayne Marina. I now keep an Ingrid in Port Angeles, but a friend and I both sail our boats to the state park bouys on a regular basis. I've seen the big aluminum sloop at anchor for a while now.

Yes, I for one would love to talk to you.
