Yep maybe he has, but if it's a full freezer, he is goin to need more than one Chully bun. I guess if he is in Picton, he maybe having Fush & Chups tonight for tea. :-)

Hi Alan,
the guy from Blenheim Dave Pacey was real good. Had it up and running in two hours. Even though he was busy he dropped his work and helped us. We are very happy. He started with the simple things and worked up. Ended up being some water in system freezing the valve. New drier and a bit of of purge and it has been going well. We have been hanging around Resolution so not a lot of service to get onto this site.Probably go to Tawa off Tory tonight. Thanks for the chilly offer. The freezer is pretty well insulated so I would have had to hang around picton and just keep buying ice if the thing couldnt be fixed. Was a pretty wild and windy night last night. The brass hurricane lamp blew out three times. I bet the dietz hurricane lamp dont want my reference on their site about their "hurricane" lamps. |

Hi Darryl, I just got in from one hell of a long day and trip. Some miles got put in today.
First off, we hadn't been able to call you, cause our VHF died. So we used the H/H only when we absolutely had to. We were out at prt Hardy on D'Urville, making ready to skip across to Abel Tasman. The oil pressure gauge for the Hydraulic gear box went nuts. Si I figured that it wouldn't be the wisest decision to step out with no VHF if the box fault was seriouse. So we came home under motor (no wind today) all the way from Port Hardy. I suspect the fault is the pressure sensor, but that's a tomorrow job. Had a great sail, look for photo's coming soon in the Gallery.

We came home yesterday. Gentle 10knot Southerly in the Strait. Went right over Fishermans rock.
That's a bugger about your gear box.....always something aye?? We will be back in a few weeks time so hope we can catch up then. Good luck with the repairs/fault finding. |

Hi Wheels,
Went away again for a few days on the 11 Jan and then again on the 18th. Came home last night. Crossed the Strait in forecast dying 25knot Southerly. It blew 25 to 32 knots most of the trip and there was a pretty confused sea. Managed to get from Komaru to Mana Island in less than 3 hours so a fast trip. High tide was 2am so as I arrived at 9.30pm I had to wait a few hours to get over. Coming across again on Waitangi weekend. We had great weather this time, summer finally arrived. |
