Snubber chafe fix

I built my own anchor snubber recently, of which I am darned proud, but noticed today, in some windy weather, that the chain was starting to chafe the rope ever so slightly. As the boat was sailing at anchor back and forth, the chain would rub. I tried to figure out a way to hold the chain back and out of the way through the entire range of motion and came up with this (pictured):

If the snubber were to fail and the chain takes over, it would simply break free from the tiny zip tie holding it out of the way. What do you think? Any better way that immediately strikes you? This was quick, easy, and of no extra cost to me (I ALWAYS am armed with a vast amount of zip ties...Kinda like duct tape). No comments on the warped bow eye please haha.
