Sailing Lessons/Clubs in St Petersburg

Made the move to Tampa from Ohio, and am looking for some sailing opportunities until I get my own boat at some point. I know in Ohio some of the clubs up there, would always be on the lookout for additional crew during their club races. Any clubs in the St Pete area do the same thing? I could show up on race day and see if anybody needs some railmeat?

Thanks!

If you stop at the sailing center on the way to Demens landing you should be able to get the information your looking for. They always have dinghy sailing classes and hold many sailing meets competitions and regattas. I often anchor near the airport and theres a steady stream of dingies and other sailing vessels coming from the club.

Take a look at (click on) the St. Pete YC Sailing Center. Good Club. Good Folks, Good Program, Inexpensive.
