Sailing from Charleston to NYC in early April

Ny tips, recommendations (aside from "wait till later") or thoughts?

We have a crew of 5 with over 70 years of sailing between us but have never done this route.

Thanks,
Myles

Dress warmly. Wear your ski gear and bring the gloves and goggles too. You know that it can snow in New York in April. You will not believe how cold it will seem, even if it doesn't snow. One more crew would help make watch rotations less of a drag.

Have you checked the route? Know you have to go outside for at least one leg of the trip? That early in the year watch your weather carefully and make sure you have a good window for the bit from Delaware to NY.
