As a sail not an anchor. I've got a 32 ft cruising cat

Once it's up there in the right wind, wow probably be just amazing down wind. But there are likely a host of launching, recovery and control issues for a kite of the size needed. Not to mention the cost of construction.

I thought the one in "Water World" was cool, I don't know if it is real or even works, but it looked really neat.

Do you think if he jumped from the top of the mast it would work?

I've actually launched one off my boat. With a cat you have a large bow to work from. It's recovery that's interesting. I'm told they'll work to about 45 degrees off square

Come on people, I'm serious. I can launch it easily but retreaval is interesting. I know I've seen a few photos of people using them so someone has to know a bit about them. Like if they put too much strain on the mast cause my rigger didn't like the idea of it. Please help me

Maybe it was being done, but apparently it is no more. The links to a site with actual product are all dead and it is obvious that the site has not been looked after for quite some time. No replies to emails either. Which is a shame.

But if you look at parachutes on boats on YouTube there are people using them. What I want to know is what sort of stress this will put on my mast
