New sailor...

Ok guys, I did it...!!!!!!!

After a lot of brain storming and a lot of reading in this forum I went in and find me a fairly nice starters boat and just today closed a deal on a 1977 Catalina 30,,,, every thing look in good condition, a little b of TLC here and there,,, the main issue with it's a crack head that I'm plating of fixing my self, here is my question,,,, where is the best place to buy parts for my Yanmar YSB12, I'm currently mooring in Miami, Fl... Also a good web place to buy parts and technical literature from,, thanks in advance for your help (be sure not going to be the last time bugging you guys)

Best regards

Carlos

Congrats Carlos!

I wish you the best.

I don't have answers to your Miami sources, but bet some others here will be able to steer you to some good places.

Good luck sailor!

Carlos,
There are many different forums on this site.
I would try the search function using different key word searches.

As I recall there have been discussions about Florida used marine parts dealers, salvage yards, and marine flea markets.

Also good info in the Liveaboard forum here.

Re: New sailor...

The Yanmar dealer in Annapolis has YSB12 parts, no problem. I imagine a FL dealer would be the same. Do you have a workshop manual? What parts are you looking for?

Re: New sailor...

If you re in Miami I would assume you are near Coconut Grove or Dinner Key. There are several boat shops there and even some service marinas. Also the keys are loaded with shops.

Re: New sailor...

Here are the scans of the YSB12 manual. I haven't proofread it yet. It is split in four sections for handling:

Let me know how they work.
