Never go Salt River St. Croix!

We are in St. Croix, yesterday we visited Salt River, NEVER GO THERE. Two yachts crashed into the reef and boats were lost. Nothing there to see. Just FYI.

Quite a few boats visit there. You may just have to have a suitable craft and avoid the shallows

I've been in Salt River. The channel is a little tricky but it's well marked outside. it's getting through the entrance making a left after the green bouy going 40-50 ft and making a right to keep from running aground in mud that gets people. Gold Coast Yacht is even in there as well as large monohulls. I think there has to be more to this incident.
