Mojo

Sometimes the "Mojo" is just not workin'. This week, my Mojo has been off. Seems to happen about once every 5-10 years. So, we've decided to postpone our planned run to Cartegena. Sometimes, when it just don't feel right, its best to take a step back.

Anyone else experience this sometimes?

My 'Mojo' definitely collapsed recently when I changed course for the Azores after doing so well on my Southern track for Madeira... should have held my nerve and sailed on..

Re: Mojo

Had this happen once or twice during my motorcycle phase. Each time I sold the bike and gave it up for a year or two until it felt right again. I have never had that feeling with sailing, though. More often than not I'll go down to the boat to fix something and when I get there I just relax and put off the work until another day. I wonder if that is a mojo thing?

Cheers.

Re: Mojo

If we have to explain the Mojo, then you wouldn't understand. I always listen to the Mojo, when I haven't in the past and it cost me dearly.

Re: Mojo

OK, I think I get the picture.....you need this 'mojo' thing to function properly.
I think I'll just continue to rely on what expertise I have, learning and experience.
