So much information for old brains like mine to remember. Mnemonics help. Most sailors are familiar with "True Virgins Make Dull Companions; add Whiskey" for computing compass
I also have trouble remembering the difference between sheeting, attack, and entry angles so I came up with "Sailors Cherish All Winds, Except Light" which reminds me that relative to the sail's chord, Sheeting angle is vs. the Centerline, Attack angle is vs. the Wind
, and Entry angle is vs. the angle of the Luff. (at least I think that's right)
