Does anyone know of any hurricane holes in Bermuda? We're taking our boat there next May and plan on staying until Nov.

Hurricane season is June 1 - Dec. 1. I realize that hurricanes don't know that, and there was a late 'cane in 2005, but you probably won't have a problem if you don't find a hurricane hole for the time you are in Bermuda.

i do not know where you keep your boat right now, but Bermuda is in the hurricane or as insurance policies call it, named wind storms, zone. You will want to carefully check you insurance policy to make sure you are covered as if you are not in the zone now you may not be covered if you decided to spend the hurricane season in the zone.

Hi all. Long time lurker and currently building a tiki 46 (wharram). Really enjoy this forum and thanks for all the info.
i lived in bermuda for 3 years and can tell you there are areas that would be safe enough from the wind but it's the surge that gets ya. i worked in a boatyard while there and we had a few close calls but never hit. the procedure would be to get everything at least 10 feet above high tide because of the surge and it's hard to find a place that isn't affected by that level. the best option was to haul out, i would think.
having said that there are a lot of holes to hide in but better get there first.
i think it's a great idea and there is lot's to do. Can you get a cruising permit for that long??
