Diesel in Cuba

Hi,

soon I would visit Cuba and want to ask about fuel in that beautiful place.
I would like to ask about price of diesel that you have paid.
I would be cruising North from East so if you can name all places where I can get diesel or how I can get it ( like a diesel tracks that come to your dock) ?
I heard that there is huge problem with USD and no cash payments. Somewhere I found info that it is even better to pay EURO. What are you experiences with USD and other things I should be aware of ?

Regards

You can spend US dollars there with no problem except they will charge you a 10% fee to change to pesos. That's why euros or Canadian dollars are preferred. You can fuel up at Puerto de vita at a fuel dock but I don't know the current pricing. Marina is 75 cents a foot. Includes water and electric. It will cost you a taxi ride to go change money regardless if you don't already have pesos.

I have heard that Euro is better curency than USD.

Puerto de Vita would be on my way for sure but I am cruising power boat so distance from Haiti to PdV would out of my range :/ I need to find some place as close east end as possible. In Cuba can I order diesel tracks or other delivery of diesel?

Re: Diesel in Cuba

Thank you. I know these websites and I know that price from there is different than I see in fuel dock. (taxes, etc)

Now most important for me would be a list of places where I can get diesel in Cuba
