Did anyone get a video of the operation?

Congrats and good karma to all of you folks that pitched in there. Well done.

PS- Now that the boat is moored, I wonder if this thread should be merged with the 'pitch in' thread? just a thought..

Great job all.

I was wondering how the removed stuff gets back on board? Jay probably wants some/all of it back?

Re: Cruisers yacht stuck on Gulfport beach in 4 feet of sand

I hope nobody needs it, but it would be nice to line up some donated legal services for the rescue crew.

Odds are that when Jay gets back to his boat he will have a number of claims of missing or damaged items caused by the rescue crew and seek compensation.

Re: Cruisers yacht stuck on Gulfport beach in 4 feet of sand

As one of the volunteers helping to remove Jay's stuff from the boat, I can garrantee that EVERYTHING that was removed was put into a bag and loaded into the storage unit. Quit frankly there was very little stuff that we removed that had any value.

Also, as a landlord of Multiple propertys, I have had to, on occation, evict someone with out there permition, sometimes the person was in Jail or for what ever reason was not at the property when there stuff was removed, and yes I have had claims that some of there stuff was missing. Of cource it wasn't, they just thought they would try to get a free, computor, or big screen or something. With out a prior receipt and documentation of having prior ownership of said idem, they would have no proof of ownership, so even if Jay does claim loss in this situation, I do not believe that with out proof of ownership, that any police and certainly a Judge would take serious look at his case.
