Re: CF Goes to Hollywood?

This mast moves about very little. Unlike any mast I had to climb. Too bad they did not ask CF gurus what it is like to climb the mast in the open sea.

Looking forward. Hope to have good fun looking for other flops.

It is well known, that catamaran would survive such minor scratch, unlike monohull that was doomed to sink

It so happens history buffs hate the show, being produced by the "history" channel. For the that very reason (subjects with swords), Norse society was quite democratic and a tyrant wouldnt last a 24hrs...
But the producers want drama and intrigue thus the inaccuracies.

I'd probably be annoyed by this movie.
I just chalked it up to the tradition of everyone swearing fealty to the one above them; commoners to Earls and Earls to the king, all based upon birthright and with the blessing of their god, Odin. Of course one could rebel but he risked the wrath of the king (supported by his loyal Earls) and Odin. Risky stuff back then.

Interesting point. Under what circumstances does one issue an SOS call?

Right before the Mayday call and right after the Pan Pan call.
