Berthing Ability
Is it just me or does the ability to berth a boat decrease in direct proportion to the number of onlookers?

Re: Berthing Ability
Yeah, it's everyone, but, when you nail it first shot, everyone walks away and they don't watch out for you as much.

Re: Berthing Ability
My problem must be confidence, when i am solo or when docking with no onlookers it always goes fine - first time.
As soon as i see someone watching or wanting to help out it starts to go pear shaped!

Re: Berthing Ability
On a different note, when doing my sailing lessons, i found that a 40 foot fin keeled yacht was so much easier to berth than a 25ft motor cruiser, you'd never have thought
it till you did it!

Re: Berthing Ability
Now you know what it is like to be a pro golfer and have to sink that 5 foot putt worth a million bucks while the world watches.

The higher the pedestal, the longer the fall.

Re: Berthing Ability
Someone once asked Lee Trevino if there was a lot of pressure in a putt for a
million dollars. Trevino said "Nah, pressure is when you're playing somebody for 10 bucks and you've only got 5."

I like Lee Trevino. He hustled golf very well. Played with two clubs or a club and a Coke bottle.

Re: Berthing Ability
Lee was asked if he found it hard to keep up his skill level.
He said "Nah!!-its a golf GAME-not golf work"
