YEarning for the Sea - Tied to the land

Have a small family and have been yearning for the sea for the last few years....

Rent small boats down in San Diego and joined Aventura for a while....

Kicking myself in the butt to get out thier again....

Looks like a very cool forums....

Aloha George,
Welcome aboard!! Good to have you on the forum. I used to sail out of Coronado in the 70s and early 80s. Great place.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Hi George,
Welcome aboard from a fellow Aventura member. The wind has been nice so far this month and I can't wait to get out again myself. Maybe I'll see you on the dock or in the clubhouse one of these days.

Fair winds!

Matt

Thanks Matt...spent the day out at newport looking for sailing opportunities for my kids. Orange Coast has a school there and there is a school for kids 8+ that seems really resonable....

The fun zone is really expensive...$45 per hour for small sailboats....

I'm thinking of purchasing a small lido to get started again

Hi George,
There are some sailing programs for kids in Dana Point Harbor, too. Looks like Lidos and small Catalinas. I don't know the details, but I see them each time I head out and it looks like they're having fun.

Matt
