X years until retirement...

A particular post inspired me to come here, something about horsepower.... so hello, from land... Northeast US. We plan (circumstances willing) to retire to cruising the world when the kids are finishing college in 8-10 years. So while largely lurking, I hope to add a few posts here or there. This community is impressive in size, daunting to add anything, but will try.

Thanks.

Hi bridaus, Welcome to the forum. I found after retiring busier than ever. Don't wait to long to start. Time and tide waits for no man.

Yes, welcome aboard CF, bridaus.

Humble suggestion to buy small boat and start sailing ASAP. Your experiences will make your choice of cruising boat a better one. There is also the issue of determining both partners' vulnerability to mal de mer.
