Hi all,

We just registered with CF wanting to post some questions and reading other stories. We bought a 40ft C&C from 1983 that we want to sail through the Caribbean. Right now she's docked in Fort Lauderdale and we are getting her ready for our 4 month trip ending up in Curaçao. We also registered for the Heineken Regatta in St Martin beginning of March, besides that we haven't planned anything but having an adventurous trip and seeing lots of remote islands and meeting new people. We expect to sail out on the 19th if weather conditions are good! We are not really experienced sailors but expect to pick things up fastly but with no doubt a lot of questions so we hope CF will be our new best friend ;-)

Great! I work for the Race Committee during the regatta and prior ...
I can tell you everyone is working harder than a beaver in a creek to make it work seamlessly.
All you have to do is sail and drink the sponsors product

You should read the bible on sailing "the Annapolis book of seamanship" an incredible reference book to everything and an easy read.
