We're New Liveaboards !

We've decided to see if living aboard is for us so for the next three months we're sailing around the Chesapeake. Right now, as of this moment, we're in the Potomac and tacking like crazy because instead of North Winds we are battling crazy West Winds! Will NOAA ever get their forecasts right?
BTW we also have a pit bull pup and a elderly cat on board!

Hans/Laura - welcome to the good life - we made the move to full time cruisers 3 years ago and it is a great lifestyle - we are in the cheaspeake for the summer getting some boat upgrades and maintenance issues taken care of - before we head south again late this fall (mexico we hope this year - did the bahamas last yr)
if you hear us on the vhf or see us a anchor give us a yell and you are invited over for sundowners one night
we are currently in deltaville for some boat upgrades and will be hanging out in the lower cheaspeake for the next 3 to 4 weeks - when upgrades are finished we will be sailing the middle cheaspeake

chuck patty and svsoulmates
on the hook jackson creek deltaville va for upgrades

Thank you one and all for your replies! We are currently a bit south of Colonial Beach in the Potomac for the 4th of July. This has been one hell of a ride so far (pit bull puppy not withstanding!), and I'm not sure what our plans are for the winter. We'd like to think Florida for starters... and Bahamas if we don't throw in the towel first!
