Wanted to say "HI" to all

johnnyforu, aka johnny

Logged in here to learn as much as possible and also make myself available too for info.

I'm looking at retirement from the fire department in IN USA this fall and selling my home to fund my dream of buying a 40'ish catamaran.

I've fallen in LOVE with Sara, a FL sailor and will be going into this dream as a couple.

My photo is me scuba diving and an current instructor. I've done some crewing on a 104' live aboard dive boat too. My side work of repairing flagpoles and specialize in the ones on top of skyscrapers. Along with that, I've worked on communication towers too. With my work at heights, I'm thinking I could help with rigging issue on sail boats. I've done a change out of the stays on a 104' sail boat and was VERY comfortable up there.

10 yrs ago I founded TEAM R&R a 501c3, my own RESCUE team and assisted with many of our nations disasters: floods, hurricanes, tornado, WTC and often asked to speak sharing my life stories.

Anyway.... Looking forward to giving up land legs for sea legs.

You specialized in repairing flag poles on top of skyscrapers? Braver man than I.

Re: Wanted to say "HI" to all

Welcome aboard. I still like going up the stick. Many younger neighbors will ask me to install various things up there. I enjoy it but I have a problem standing close to the edge of a tall building.
