Hoping to meet a lot of sailors with advice, opinions and hard-won knowledge and want to make many, many sailing friends.
I fell in love with sailing recently, but have really dreamed of doing it all my life. My goal is to sail around the world in approximately 8 years when my daughter graduates from high school. Maybe single handed, maybe not, (my husband isn't a sailor), then settle in Tahiti. I live on the SE Texas coast and live fairly close to Sabine Lake/Galveston Bay.

It's all mostly about showing up. Once you start sailing it really won't matter where you go because you'll already be there. Find a boat and add water to suit. We have a fair number of Texas sailors so it's possible.
